Easy-Peasy Key-Lime-Pie-In-A-Jar Recipe
Are you terrible in a kitchen? Borderline dangerous? You need a helmet and safety goggles to make sure your hair won’t catch on fire when you prepare your toasts in the morning? If you answered yes to these questions, this recipe has your name on it. Trust us: we don’t mean to put any pressure on you, but it’s so easy, your puppy could make it. It’s time to put your helmet back in the closet and find yourself a Chef name, because you’re about to impress your entire entourage.
This recipe makes 4 servings. And, here’s what you’ll need:
12 F&N cookies
½ can of condensed milk (around 200ml)
½ cup of plain Greek yogurt
Lime zest (Friendly tip: zest before you juice, it’ll be way easier)
Key lime juice (you’ll need about 6 limes)
Extra limes for garnish
4 small glass jars
Bake 12 of your favourite F&N cookies, following the instructions on the packaging. Choose different flavours for more fun.
Combine your condensed milk, yogurt, and lime juice and whisk these ingredients together by using your mixer for about 5 minutes on medium speed. If you don’t have a stand mixer, use the power of your arms and whisk vigorously for about 10 minutes until you have a smooth and creamy texture. Pop that mixture in your refrigerator for 10 minutes.
Start by filling up ⅓ cup of crushed F&N cookies at the bottom of your jars. Pour about ⅔ cup of your lime mixture on top of your cookies. Add a little more cookies and top with whipped cream. Sprinkle with lime zest and garnish with a slice of lime. Voilà!
