Show Valentine’s Day who’s boss with these amazing Window Cookies. A combination of your favourite Félix & Norton cookie flavour, hard candy and fantastic shapes makes for a recipe that is totally romantic and totally delicious. 12 pieces Félix & Norton Milk Chocolate Chunk Cookies
8 - 10 pieces hard candy, red
1“ heart-shaped cookie cutter
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 13 minutes
Yield: 12 lovey-dovey cookies
Preheat oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place 12 pieces of ready-to bake Felix & Norton Milk Chocolate Chunk Cookies - or your favourite flavour - onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 7 minutes.
While the cookies are baking, place the red hard candies into a resealable bag. Using a rolling pin or the bottom of a small pot, crush the candies with all of your might into a coarse powder. Take a quick breather and set aside until needed.
When the cookies come out of the oven, tap the pan onto your work surface to motivate the cookies to flatten out. Cool slightly.
With the small cookie cutter, cut out the middle of each cookie. Having trouble capturing each cookie’s heart? Use a small offset spatula, or a butter knife, to help rip the heart right out of the cookie.
Place the cookies into the freezer to chill; about 20 minutes.
Take a small spoon and fill each heart-shaped cavity with coarse candy powder. Make sure that candy is level with the cookie, because true love is all about balance.
Place the cookies back into the preheated oven. Bake for 6 minutes or until the candy is 100% melted. Take out of the oven and allow to cool completely on the pan.
