What goes into the perfect cookie? Félix & Norton are known as the best in the world for a reason, and that’s thanks to our top-secret recipe. We went to the founder, Michael Eskenazi, to find out more about what goes into our cookies. Here’s what we learned...
Using real butter as one of the main ingredients in our cookies helps to give each cookie their luscious composure, and the perfectly chewy texture. It’s not magic, it’s butter!
When you bite into your first Milk Chocolate Chunk, Dark Chocolate Chunk, Ebony & Ivory or Menage À Trois, you’ll notice a healthy dose of scrumptious chocolate chunks. We use the kind of chocolate which breaks records and goes down in history books, because that’s how much quality cookies mean to us.
A Spectacular Machine
Most cookie companies won’t tell you this, but they buy pre-made chocolate chips to put into their cookies. In our factory, we have a special machine which breaks up the chocolate for our cookies. It’s a fantastic device, and it makes each and every cookie totally, 100% unique. It’s magical, fantastical cookie-making - right before your very eyes!
Soft as a Cloud
How do our cookies get so soft? It’s all about knowing that everything in life is unique - including ovens. 350ºF is going to work differently in every oven, and that’s going to change the way our cookies bake. 8 minutes is perfection, always! The secret is that we give our cookies a moment to “chill out” when they finish baking, which results in a perfectly chewy cookie.
A lot of work has gone into perfecting the Félix & Norton cookie recipe, which is why baking them yourself is so simple. Pick up a batch at your local grocery store, pop them into the oven, pull them out and enjoy.
