Summer is still going strong and there’s no better way to end a meal than with something cold that has a touch of nostalgia for dessert. That’s how we came with the idea of building the perfect banana split for you. Ready for pure happiness?
Step 1: Bake as many F&N cookies as you think you’ll need. (That probably means a lot). These will act as the foundation for your sundae. Break them into pieces and place them at the bottom of your plate.
Step 2: Enter the star of the show: the banana. You could caramelize it in butter with spices and everything, but we decided to go with a plain one. You can’t go wrong with a classic. Plus there’s a lot going on so we better pace ourselves.
Step 3: Time to add the ice cream. We went for vanilla because we feel this flavour is always a good idea, but hey, you only live once, so if you feel like adding extra love to your creation with a chocolate-peanut butter-strawberry-caramel-roasted nuts ice cream, you should go for it.
Step 4: Top your new baby with your favourite toppings. From sliced almonds to chocolate syrup, passing by homemade whipped cream and maraschino cherries, without forgetting some chocolate chips, sprinkles or more fruits like strawberries, raspberries or blueberries, you really can’t make a bad decision here.
