History
When we started Monsieur Félix and Mr. Norton cookies in Montreal, Quebec in 1985, our goal was to create and share the best cookies that anyone had ever tasted. Our hopes were that cookie lovers everywhere would enjoy them as much as we did. It wasn't very long before word began to spread of a little shop on Queen Mary road that was enticing customers with an array of original, decadent flavours, fresh and warm from the oven. One morning while watching a long line-up of people waiting outside in the cold, we thought to ourselves, "We may just have something here!"
Over the years, our main focus has always been to ensure that our cookies make people happy. Throughout our 26-year evolution we have stayed true to that core principle by continuing to develop and deliver a quality and deliciously fun product. By the late 1980's and 1990's, we had built Félix & Norton into a network of over 40 stores throughout Canada. As the years passed, we decided it was time for us to enter a new life phase, so in one bittersweet swoop; we sold the retail arm of our business. Even during the period when we were no longer involved in the retail stores, we never stopped hearing from our loyal customers about how much they loved our cookies. We realized that if Félix & Norton was to ever be restored to its original glory, we were the only ones with the passion and heart to do it.
In 2008, after deciding that the time had come to make Félix & Norton the incredible, fun and memorable brand it had once been, we took to the streets to launch our first ever Félix & Norton Mobile Bakery and were thrilled to be met with happy hoards of eager cookie-loving customers. We were back!
2010 became another milestone year in Félix & Norton history. For the first time, we were proud to offer our "Bake them yourself" original recipe cookie dough to IGA stores throughout the province of Quebec. This new packaged product would give cookie lovers the opportunity to again enjoy Félix & Norton fresh and warm... This time from their own ovens! For customers who preferred to buy cookies "Already baked", 2010 marked the period that we began selling our original recipe dough to bakeries, restaurants and food chains that wanted to offer their customers a bit of Félix & Norton magic, as well. As these initiatives continue to expand, Félix & Norton cookie fans will soon be able to enjoy our "Bake them yourself" and "Already baked" cookies at more and more food locations throughout the country.
